CLINTON, S.C. - The Presbyterian College football team continued its spring
practice Sunday afternoon as the weather earlier in the week forced the squad
to move the first week of practice back a day.
"We came out with great enthusiasm," head coach Harold Nichols said. "The team
wanted to be out here and went to work today. We were able to get better as a
team.
The Blue Hose donned pads for the first time this spring after two days of
shorts and helmets.
"This year's team is more physical compared to this time last year," Nichols
stated. "I was pleased with their effort today.
"Defensively, we worked on our tackling. Offensively, we worked on our passing
game.
"Offensive lineman James Festa came out and had a good practice. Defensively,
Qucravion Ash is going to be a factor for us as he showed today.
"Overall, I like what I see in this team and I was pleased with the day's work."
The Blue Hose return to the practice field Tuesday from 4 p.m.-6p.m.
