PC Football Inks 19 for 2012

CLINTON, S.C. - Presbyterian College football head coach Harold Nichols announced the signing of 19 student-athletes for the 2012 season.  The class includes seven offensive linemen, three defensive lineman, four defensive backs, three linebackers and two wide receivers.  Seven players hail from South Carolina while six are from Georgia and three are from North Carolina.  PC also signed one from Tennessee, as well as two from Florida, to round out the 19 on signing day.

"Just from a numbers standpoint an area of concern for us was the offensive and defensive line," said Coach Nichols.  "We lost a lot of good players there on both sides of the ball.  With the combination of the guys in this class, and who we can sign in the coming months, the ones we have redshirted, as well as the kids that weren't quite ready to be starters last season, we'll be able to fortify both sides of the ball."

"We also picked some strong playmakers for us, several solid defensive backs and wide receivers that will bring big things to PC football."
