The Presbyterian College Athletic Department and Coordinator of Broadcast Services John Avery announced several changes in the broadcast crew for the upcoming football season.
With the departure of Stan Reid after this past season, John Orck is moving from the sideline to the booth to become the new color analyst. Orck, who graduated PC in 1974 was twice selected to the All-District team at middle linebacker and also earned an Honorable Mention All-American honor after his senior season in which he also served as a captain.
"With Stan Reid deciding to enter the seminary," said Avery. "It seemed natural to shift John Orck upstairs. His insight as a former player will be a great fit."
Caleb Massengill will join the broadcast crew as the sideline reporter. Massengill was a member of the 2004-2008 Presbyterian College football team and majored in Business Administration with a minor in Media Studies. He was chosen to the 2007 ESPN the Magazine All District Team and is married to Kathryn, a cheerleader at PC from 2003-2007.
"I'm very excited that Caleb (Massengill) decided to accept the opportunity to join the broadcast team. As a recent graduate he understands the transition the team is going through and his playing experience will also be a great addition to the broadcast."
Presbyterian College's partnership with Real Radio 860 WLBG will continue for a fifth consecutive season, with the radio station serving as the flagship station for all football and men's basketball games, as well as select women's basketball, baseball and softball games. PC's campus radio station, 97.1 WPCX, will also carry all live nighttime broadcasts.
The broadcasts will be streamed for the second consecutive season on www.GoblueHose.com.
The Blue Hose open the football season at home Sept. 3 with a 1:30 p.m. kick-off against Wofford. For ticket information contact Sherry Medlin at 864.833.8240 or skmedlin@presby.edu.
