FARMVILLE, Va. – The Presbyterian College baseball team clinched a series win on Friday using 15 hits to defeat Longwood 12-5 at Buddy Bolding Stadium. Brody Fahr and Kyle Decker each collected three hits, while Dalton Reeves connected on a first-inning grand slam.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- PC got on the board quickly after a single and a pair of walks, Reeves connected on a grand slam in the first to give PC the early 4-0 advantage.
- Longwood got on the board in the second off of a balk to cut the deficit to three, 4-1 after two frames.
- Reeves added a sacrifice fly in the third to extend the lead to 5-1.
- In the fifth, RBI singles from Jeremiah Boyd and Brody Fahr gave PC the 7-1 advantage.
- Longwood picked up an RBI double in its half of the fifth to cut it to a 7-2 game.
- Kyle Decker answered in the seventh with a two-run single to push it to a seven-run game at 9-2.
- The Lancers cut the lead down to four, 9-5 with a three-run home half of the seventh.
- PC responded once again in the eighth which was started by Eric Toth's RBI triple before Boyd added an RBI groundout. The frame was capped by Noah Lebron's RBI single to push the lead to seven, 12-5.
- Two-time defending Big South Relief Pitcher of the Week Logan Ymker tossed 2.1 scoreless innings to help seal the 12-5 win over Longwood on Friday night.
NOTABLES
- Decker and Fahr each had three hits to lead the offense on Friday. Fahr is now tied for the team-high with 12 multi-hit games.
- Fahr has also reached base safely in 26 consecutive games with his three-hit game. He's hitting a team-high .476 (20-of-42) in Big South play.
- Reeves connected on his fourth homer of the season with his first-inning grand slam.
- It was the first Blue Hose grand slam since February 23, 2020, when Hunter Grover hit one against Manhattan in PC's 7-6 win.
- Toth pushed his hit streak to a team-high 12 games with his first triple as a Blue Hose in the eighth inning.
- Reeves with his five RBIs is the most in a game for PC since May 28, 2021, when Zacchaeus Rasberry had five against Gardner-Webb in the conference tournament.
- Over the Blue Hose last 10 games, Ymker has made seven appearances and tossed 10.2 innings while not allowing an earned run. He has walked only two batters and totaled 17 strikeouts with opponents batting just .083.
