Baseball Falls in Midweek Matchup to Charleston

CLINTON, S.C. – Sophomore infielder Brody Fahr led the Blue Hose with three hits but the Presbyterian College baseball suffered a 7-3 setback on Tuesday afternoon at the PC Baseball Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- College of Charleston got on the board first with an RBI double in the opening frame.
- The Cougars pushed the lead to 2-0 in the third off of a Blue Hose error. The guests made it 4-0 in the fourth with a double steal and an RBI double in the inning.
- College of Charleston added single runs in the sixth, seventh, eighth to push the lead to 7-0.
- The Blue Hose got on the board in the eighth with back-to-back RBI singles from Jeremiah Boyd and Chris Veach to cut the deficit to 7-2.
- PC pushed across one more run in the ninth on a Cougars wild pitch to lead to the final 7-3 margin.
 
NOTABLES
-  Fahr led the Blue Hose offense on Tuesday as he tied a career-high with three hits for his first multi-hit game of the 2022 season.
- Jay Wetherington and Eric Toth each added a pair of base hits in the contest. Toth has tied the team-high with three multi-hit games thru the opening nine games of the season.
- Sean Hollister made his collegiate debut in the ninth on Tuesday tossing a scoreless frame and recording a strikeout.
- Jordan Art tossed a career-high two scoreless frames as he had his first two strikeouts of his Blue Hose career.
