The Presbyterian College women’s lacrosse team and head coach Jenna Handshoe announced the 2019 schedule on Monday. The Blue Hose will play 17 games, including six at Bailey Memorial Stadium. The schedule features three defending conference champions including Wagner who advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament a year ago.

“We are excited about our upcoming season and level of competition,” said Handshoe. “As a team, we are looking to build off the foundation set during our fall season and continue to develop every day. While we face a very challenging schedule, we are looking forward to further developing our team culture while narrowing some of the gaps set in previous competitions.”

The Blue Hose begin the season with a pair of road matchups against Mount St. Mary’s on February 9 and Duke on February 13. PC will then host Wofford in their home opener on February 16.

The Blue Hose then hit the road for another pair of away games, at Furman on February 20 and at American on March 2, before returning to Clinton to host Delaware State on March 8.

PC then begins a five-game road stretch at Richmond, the defending Atlantic 10 champions, on March 12 and continues with matchups against Central Connecticut on March 14, LIU Brooklyn on March 22, and Wagner, the defending Northeast Conference champions, on March 24. PC’s Big South opener against Campbell closes out the stretch on March 30.

That game starts four straight Big South contests. The Blue Hose host Radford on April 3 before visiting the two-time defending Big South champions, High Point, on April 6. PC will then host Winthrop on April 10 and Arizona State, in non-conference play, on April 14.

PC concludes the regular season with a road game at Gardner-Webb on April 17 and facing off with Longwood at home on April 20.

The Big South tournament is set to take place from April 26-28 and will include the top four teams playing at the No. 1 seed.
