Clinton, S.C. – The Presbyterian College Blue Hose lacrosse team was named one of the International Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad teams. The Blue Hose also had six individuals make the IWLCA Zag Sports Division I Academic Honor Roll.
"I am incredibly proud of all of our girls' work in the classroom this past year,” said coach Bob Dachille. “Every single one of them demonstrated an unbelievable work ethic and time management in order for us to achieve our highest GPA in team history. I am especially proud of our six upperclassmen who have maintained higher than a 3.5 GPA to be named to the IWLCA Honor Roll."
PC’s six individual Honor Roll members consisted of four seniors and two juniors. Alexandra Cole and Maura Talvacchia were senior Business majors. Jessica Goergen, a senior and Ashley Wren, a junior are both Psychology majors. Amanda Lindsey, a senior English major and Kelty Fletcher, a junior Biology major round out the list of Blue Hose Honor Roll members.
PC was one of six schools from the Big South Conference that were represented as an Honor Squad. Big South champion, High Point as well as Campbell, Winthrop, Longwood, and Radford are the other five schools. Overall, 97 teams in Division I and 310 teams across all divisions made the list.
