DAVIS, CALIF. – UC Davis scored 12 goals in the first half as the Presbyterian College women’s lacrosse team fell to the Aggies 17-5 Wednesday afternoon at Aggie Stadium. With the loss, the Blue Hose fall to 0-4 on the season.

The Aggies scored eight unanswered before Jess Goergen converted a free-position shot to put PC on the board at the 14:46 mark in the opening half. Alexandra Cole answered another UC Davis goal with a free-position make to cut the hosts’ lead to 9-2. The Aggies scored another three goals to take a 12-2 advantage at the break.

In the second half, the teams went back and forth, trading a pair of goals each. Lauren Schaaf scored her team-leading seventh goal of the season and Kathleen Gerrits notched her third of the year with 11:12 left in the game. The Aggies pushed their lead to 17-4 before Natalie Garnett earned her first point of the season to round out the scoring.

Maura Talvacchia tallied five ground balls and three caused turnovers to lead PC on defense. Hudson Roarick followed with three ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers.

Kayla Koch played the opening half of the game, recording two saves against 14 shots faced. Sophia Cuzzupe was in the cage for most of the second half, making two saves while facing six shots.
