Blue Hose start Spring Break trip at UC Davis
• PC is in California over Spring Break, kicking off its two-game road swing at UC Davis on Wednesday, March 1.

Last Time Out
• PC fell 16-3 to Saint Francis (Pa.) this past Sunday at Old Bailey Stadium.

Lauren Schaaf scored twice to lead the Blue Hose in the loss. The junior took five shots, putting three on target. She picked up a ground ball and added two draw controls and a caused turnover. Jess Goergen posted the other score, converting 1-of-3 shots.

Maura Talvacchia led PC on defense with five ground balls and seven caused turnovers.

Kayla Koch recorded six saves in goal and added five ground balls in just under 53 minutes of work.

Scouting the Aggies
• UC Davis is coming off an 18-5 loss at No. 13 Colorado on Sunday. The Aggies opened their season with a 20-10 loss to then-No. 12 Stanford on February 10. Their lone win was a 19-7 decision over LIU-Brooklyn on February 12.

• Melissa Kellan has 11 goals with three assists, followed by Taylor Cuenin with nine goals and five assists. Lauren Ali owns a 42.5 save percentage, with 37 saves made on 112 faced shots.

• UC-Davis was picked to finish fifth in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Preseason Coaches’ Poll.

• Wednesday marks the first meeting between the two programs.
