Clinton, S.C. – Presbyterian College and women’s lacrosse coach Bob Dachille announced the hiring of new assistant coach Carleigh Davis on Wednesday afternoon.

“I am thrilled with the addition of Carleigh (Davis) to the PC lacrosse family,” said coach Dachille. “She has had an exceptional playing career at Limestone and is held in high regard by all members within their program. I am excited to have her on board to be our Offensive Coordinator and to assist in our recruiting efforts. She is an incredibly hard worker and is exactly what we were looking for in our search. Carleigh’s addition strengthens my enthusiasm for the continued growth of our program and our future success.”

Davis comes to PC following an outstanding playing career at Limestone College. While at Limestone she scored 114 goals and tallied 131 assists with a .616 shot percentage. She also was selected to the First Team All-Conference Carolinas, First Team All-Region and Second Team All-America in 2017. Her Limestone teammates also voted her the team Most Valuable Player in 2017 as well.

Davis also brings coaching experience to the table as she has been volunteering for camps at her high school in Maryland as well assisting her college lacrosse coaches club team. She completed a coaching internship for Scott Tucker, her coach at Limestone, in the fall of 2016 and was the lead counselor for Merritt Athletic Club summer camps from 2014-2016.

Carleigh Davis graduated from Limestone College in the spring of 2017 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education, and a minor in Coaching. Her concentration area was physical activity studies.

“I am very excited to be joining the Presbyterian College Athletic Department and the women’s lacrosse staff,” said Davis. “I am honored to have the opportunity that coach Dachille and President Emmett Staton have given me and I look forward to help continue to build a successful program.”

Davis is a native of Eldersburg, Md. and the daughter of Tom and Stefanie Davis.
