Columbia, S.C. – The Presbyterian College men’s cross country team broke a pair of Division I Outdoor Track records on Saturday afternoon at the CIU Invitational in Columbia, S.C. Neel Taber set a new 400-meter record at 55.46 seconds and Kieran Schuetterle set the new mark for the 800 meters at 2:03.55.

 

Four other members of the team set new PRs during the meet. Zack Kochert (4:24.84), Luke Harmon (4:37.56), and Justin Nobles (5:21.42) each ran their best time in the 1500-meter. Kiro Morkos ran a personal best 2:15.90 in the 800 meters.

 

Taber and Morkos also competed in the 1500 meters. Their times were 4:41.20 and 4:46.22, respectively. Kochert ran the 800-meter in 2:08.13 and was the second Blue Hose to cross the line. Harmon raced in the 5k, clocking in a time of 18:07.03.

 

Three members of the women’s team competed at the CIU Invitational. Julia Keen finished the 1500-meter in 5:55.88. Ali Bennett and Abigayle Winn competed in the 5k, crossing the line at 20:50.84 and 27:13.01, respectively.

 

PC will return to action at the Gamecock Invite on April 13.
