ROCK HILL, SC – The Presbyterian College men's and women's cross country teams had a good showing at the Winthrop Adidas Invitational on Saturday. The Blue Hose had seven runners compete in the developmental sections of the 1500 and 800 meters.

Sally Hart, Bea DiBona and Denise Devaney raced first in the women's 1500m. Hart finished 10th overall in a school-record time of 5:14.20. It was an 11-second improvement from her time a year ago. DiBona finished 15th (5:18.24), and Devaney finished 30th (5:37.52) out of 42 runners.

Reid Haigler and Alex Johnson raced next in the men's developmental 1500m. Haigler finished 16th overall in a time of 4:27.07 and Johnson finished 32nd in a time of 4:54.77.

Duncan Gotfredson finished fourth in his heat and 11th overall with a collegiate-best 800m time of 2:04.25. William Wise finished second in his heat and 20th overall with a 800m time of 2:09.07.

This was the second consecutive season and third overall where PC competed in an outdoor track meet under head coach Thad Palmer.
