Presbyterian College and head coach Alaura Sharp announced the women’s basketball non-conference schedule for the upcoming 2019-20 season on Wednesday. The nine-game schedule features matchups with teams from the Big Ten, Big 12, Southeastern, Colonial, Southern, Mid-Eastern Athletic, USA South, and Eastern College Athletic Conferences.

“We are looking forward to the opportunity to play top-notch opponents in our non-conference schedule,” said Sharp.

The schedule is highlighted by trips to West Virginia, Florida and Illinois. On November 10, the Blue Hose face off against the Mountaineers who went 22-11 last season and advanced to the third round of the WNIT Tournament. Then on November 18, PC heads down to Gainesville, Florida, to face the Gators for the first time in program history. On November 30, PC travels to Champaign, Illinois, to battle the Fighting Illini for the first time and play against a Big 10 opponent for only the second time in program history.

"It is important to be tested early on and play in these tough environments,” Sharp said. “We will be challenged by quality teams and well prepared for the rigors of Big South play.”

PC plays five road games in total during their non-conference slate, with the season beginning on the road at SC State on November 5. The final road game during this portion of the season is a November 26 matchup against Wofford.

The Blue Hose play four home games during their non-conference schedule with the home opener against William Peace being on November 13. College of Charleston visits the Templeton Center on November 22. The non-conference schedule concludes with a pair of home games against UNC-Wilmington on December 4 and Brevard on December 21.
