Presbyterian College and head women’s basketball coach Alaura Sharp announced the signing of Alessia Capley (Arvada, Co.) on Tuesday as the final addition to next year’s team.
Alessia Capley – 6’3 – Forward – Arvada, Colorado (Ralston Valley HS/Otero JC)
2018-19: (Otero JC) Averaged 8.3 points and 6.8 rebounds per game including 12.9 points and 9.2 rebounds over her final 10 games of the season … Key player on a team that increased its win total by six games over the previous season and advanced to the second round of the Region IX Tournament before finishing the year at 16-13 overall … Named to the Region IX All-Tournament team … Played for coach Sta’Nisha Hersey who joined the PC staff on June 1.
High School: Averaged 5.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 2.0 blocks per game at Ralston Valley … Honorable Mention All-Conference … Team advanced to a pair of Great 8 appearances and one Final Four appearance.

Coach Sharp said: "We are thrilled to announce the signing of Alessia Capley who adds much needed size and length to our roster. She is a great fit for our style of play with her ability to step out and shoot the three. Alessia developed her inside game at Otero Junior College, and we believe that her best basketball is ahead of her. She is a terrific young woman with high character and is a great addition to our team. This is the last signee for our 2019 class and we could not be more excited about the future of our program."
Capley joins a class of six others including: Tionna Carter (Norcross, Ga.), Jade Compton (Garland, Texas), Shariah Gaddy (Pineville, N.C.), Kaitlyn Keathley (Pikeville, Ky.), Le’Mesha Madden (Dallas, Texas) and Georgia Stockton (Rabun, Ga.).
