Charlotte, N.C. – The Big South Conference has named Cortney Storey the Big South Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, November 19. This is Cortney’s second player of the week honor in a row to begin the 2017-18 season and her fifth Big South Player of the Week honor over the last two seasons, she was also a two time Big South Freshman of the Week honoree in 2014-15.

In two games this past week versus USC Upstate and Chattanooga she combined to score 20.5 points, 6.5 assists, 6.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game. In the game against Upstate she tied her personal career high and the PC Division I era record with 27 points while also grabbing six rebounds, five assists and four steals. At Chattanooga she would score 14 points while picking up a season high eight assists to go with six rebounds.

For the season she leads the Big South in scoring with 20.3 points and assists at 4.8 per game.

The Blue Hose are back in action on Tuesday night as they host the Kennesaw State Owls at 7:00 p.m. in Templeton Center in the 2017-18 home opener.
