CLINTON, S.C. – Presbyterian College women’s basketball guard Janie Miles has been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District team for District 4, the organization announced on Thursday.

The junior Biology major leads the Blue Hose in offensive rebounding with 32 boards (1.5 per game) and is third in scoring with 8.6 points per game. On the season, she has shot 63-of-139 (45.3 percent) from the field, 28-of-70 (40.0 percent) from beyond the arc, and 35-of-48 (72.9 percent) from the free-throw line.

The Clemson, S.C. native recorded a 15-point, 11-rebound double, the first of her career, at East Carolina on November 28. In a 56-55 comeback win over Gardner-Webb on January 7, she posted a season-high 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field. Her 709 career points rank eighth on PC’s Division I career scoring list entering Saturday’s game against Liberty.

She is now eligible to be named to the Academic All-America team, which will be announced later this month.
