Athens, Ga. – The Presbyterian College women’s basketball team was defeated by the Georgia Bulldogs at Stegeman Coliseum on Friday afternoon, 83-59. Junior Kacie Hall led the Blue Hose with 18 points for the contest.

How It Happened

The Bulldogs jumped to a large lead in the first quarter, using a 9-0 and 11-0 run to help build a 24-5 lead after the first ten minutes of play.

Georgia carried its momentum into the second quarter, outscoring PC 23-10 to take a 47-15 lead at halftime.

In the second half, the Blue Hose would fight back. Freshman Shamani Stafford scored 11 of her 17 points in the third quarter to help PC outscore the Bulldogs 25-22 in the period.

In the fourth quarter, Hall netted eight of her 18 points and led the Blue Hose to outscore Georgia by five.


- Hall led the team with 18 points, on 7-of-15 shooting, and three steals.

- Stafford hit five three point attempts and shot 50% from the field and beyond the arc for 17 points. 

Salina Virola led the Blue Hose with eight rebounds and also added 11 points.

- Trinity Johnson tallied a team-high seven assists.

The Blue Hose fall to 2-8 while Georgia improves to 9-4.

The Blue Hose travel to Greenville on Wednesday to take on Furman. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
