Presbyterian College and head men’s basketball head coach Dustin Kerns announced the signing of guards Adam Flagler (Duluth, Ga.) and Chris Martin (Charlotte, N.C.) to National Letters of Intent to join the Blue Hose in the fall of 2018. They join Jordan Gibson and Kody Shubert who signed this past November.
“I want to recognize our coaching staff, players, and many people on our campus who all did an outstanding job hosting Adam (Flagler), Chris (Martin), and their families while on campus this spring,” said Coach Kerns. “Chris and Adam Flagler are exciting additions to PC and our basketball family. They both are excellent role models on and off the court and fit the culture at Presbyterian College and our basketball family. We are delighted about the additions of Adam and Chris.”

“Adam is a dynamic scorer, he’s the all-time leading scorer and three-point shooter in the rich history of the Duluth High School program. He’s a very good student and comes from an incredible family and parents Michael and Priscilla. Under Head Coach Cabral Huff at Duluth, he excelled on and off the court and was very involved in the community and service projects. Adam is a complete player and will be a great addition on the offensive and defensive side of the ball. He is a fine young man and we are delighted he’ll be at Presbyterian College. Chris Martin - Fr. - G - 6-0 - 181 - Charlotte, N.C./Liberty Heights
High School: Played for Liberty Heights ... His basketball team won the conference championship and played in the state championship while a member ... He was ranked in the North Carolina Top 80 and was a two-time All-State selection ... He was an All-Conference selection in the MAC and SPAA Conferences and took part in the Hoopfest All-Star Classic game ... He averaged 21.4 ppg, 6.2 rpg, and 3.8 apg ... He finished his career with 1,937 career points ... He also played football and baseball, while also participating in track and field ... His football team won a conference championship, while he his track and field team earned state titles with him participating in the long jump, 200 meter and the 4x2 ... Played for Team Charlotte as well ... A member of the National Honor Society he was on the A/B Honor Roll every year in high school ... He was in the Drama, Journalism, and Math clubs ... He served as a tutor for Elementary Students and helped train children ages 10-12 ...

“Chris has an alpha male personality that was important for our program to add. He brings a contagious energy to the court and plays with passion for his team. He comes from a wonderful family and great Mother in Shekinah White. He played in an outstanding AAU program with Team Charlotte, which is well coached by Jeff McInnis. They won the National Championship last summer. We are super excited about adding Chris to our program. He is a great fit academically, character wise, and is certainly an exciting basketball player. Chris will bring some intensity to our program on both sides of the ball especially with his ability to score in various ways and love for defense.
