John Reynolds is in his fourth season as an assistant coach with the Blue Hose and first as Interim Head Coach, being named to the position April 12, 2017.
Reynolds spent 2011-13 with the Delta State University Statesmen and was responsible for guard development, recruiting, travel coordination, film exchange, while also assisting in the development of the strength and conditioning program. While with the Statesmen, he coached Gulf South All-Conference selection Terry Leake, Jr., as well as Jack Madgen, a league all-freshman team member. The Statesman went from last in the conference in defense in 2012 to first this past season, with his help.
Reynolds earned his Bachelor's Degree at The Citadel, where he was a four-year letter-winner. He played under coaches Ed Conroy and Chuck Driesell and was named Scout Team Player of the Year for the Bulldogs twice during his career. He was also a member of the winningest class in The Citadel history and the first team to participate in post-season play in 2009.
Reynolds was named to the Southern Conference All-Academic Team on three occasions, as well as the Dean's List. He recently earned his Master's Degree in Business Administration from Delta State in 2013.
The Oak Grove High School product has also assisted with many camps during his basketball off-season, including the 2011 DC Metro AAU Showcase, Peach State Tournament, and served as Camp Director for several more, including the Delta State elite and team camps.
In addition to coaching, Reynolds has greatly assisted in recruiting and scouting during his time at PC.
Reynolds is married to the former Alexis Kocher of Columbia, S.C. and the two currently reside in Chapin, S.C.
