Kennesaw, Ga. – The Presbyterian College baseball team fell behind 4-0 early and closed the deficit to a single run before Kennesaw State plated three runs late for a 7-3 win on Wednesday night at Stillwell Stadium.

- Jimmy Marcelli paced the Blue Hose offense with a pair of hits including an RBI double in the fifth inning. Marcelli leads the team with nine multi-hit contests.
- Luke Matthews and Nick Guimbarda both added RBI doubles for the Blue Hose offense in Wednesday’s contest.
- Marcelli became the third Blue Hose this season to steal a pair of bases as Garrett Jones had two against Marist and Jonathan White had a pair against Brown.
- Jackson Dean threw 5.2 innings for a season-high to go along with five strikeouts just one off of his season-high six he had against Marist on 2/24.

- Kennesaw State struck first in the opening frame with a pair of two-out RBI singles to take the early 2-0 lead.
- The Owls added a pair of runs in the fourth on an RBI single followed by a Blue Hose error to make it 4-0.
- The Blue Hose got on the board in the fifth as Matthews got it going with an RBI double to right centerfield that allowed Hunter Grover to come into score and Matthews moved up to third on a KSU error.
- The inning was continued by Guimbarda as he drilled a double to deep left center that allowed Matthews to come home and make it 4-2. Marcelli in the next at bat doubled himself and brought in Guimbarda to make it 4-3.
- The Owls picked up a run in the sixth on a Blue Hose error to extend their lead to 5-3.
- The hosts added a pair of runs on a pair of two-out RBI singles in the seventh to push the lead back out to four, 7-3.

- The Blue Hose return home for their first Big South series of the season on Friday as they welcome Radford to the PC Baseball Complex for a three-game set. Friday’s game is set for a 3 p.m. first pitch.
