CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Big South Conference and Lexington County Recreation & Aging Commission (LCRAC) officials have met continuously throughout the day to evaluate weather and field conditions at the Lexington Country Baseball Stadium, and after further evaluation, no games were played Wednesday for a second consecutive day.  The Championship is now scheduled to start on Thursday at 11:00 a.m., and will remain a double-elimination tournament.

The tournament schedule has been adjusted to the following:

Thursday, May 25 (Games 1-4) – Big South Network
Game 1:  No. 2 Liberty vs. No. 7 Gardner-Webb - 11 a.m.
Game 2:  No. 3 Presbyterian vs. No. 6 UNC Asheville - 45 minutes following Game 1
Game 3:  No. 1 Winthrop vs. No. 8 Campbell - 45 minutes following Game 2
Game 4:  No. 4 High Point vs. No. 5 Radford - 45 minutes following Game 3 

Friday, May 26 (Games 5-8) – ESPN3
Game 5:  Loser Game 1 vs. Loser Game 2 - 9:30 a.m.
Game 6:  Loser Game 3 vs. Loser Game 4 - 45 minutes following Game 5
Game 7:  Winner Game 1 vs. Winner Game 2 - 45 minutes following Game 6

** - If no “If Games” on Sunday are needed, the Championship Game will be played at 1:00pm.  If one “If Game” on Sunday is necessary, that game will start at 10:00am with the Championship Game scheduled for 3:00pm.  If both “If Games” on Sunday are required, the first game will start at 10:00am, followed by the second game 45 minutes after the conclusion.  The Championship Game will be played at 5:00pm.  TV coverage to be determined.
