Ryan Morris Tabbed Louisville Slugger Player of the Year For Rhode Island

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Presbyterian College baseball signee Ryan Morris has been named State High School Player of the Year for Rhode Island by Louisville Slugger.

“Once Again, we are proud to join Louisville Slugger and Baseball America in honoring these fine young baseball players from all across the United States,” said BCA Executive Director Ron Davini.  “These players have been selected by coaches in their jurisdictions as the best player in their respective home states.  We’re sure to be hearing more about these players in years to come, at both the collegiate and professional levels.”

Morris, a 6-2 210 lb. shortstop and third baseman, batted .443 and drove in 34 runs. He also crossed home plate 30 times. Morris garnered an .885 slugging percentage and a .580 on-base percentage.

Earlier this summer, Morris was also named the Rhode Island Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year winner.

Morris signed with the Blue Hose last fall and he, along with the rest of the signees, will enroll in PC this fall.
