CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College volleyball team begins its second full week of practice on Monday with a pair of sessions at the Templeton Center.
The first week of practice began with a focus on conditioning and fundamental skills, before ramping up to offensive/defensive situational drills and scrimmaging.
"It's been very exciting, getting everyone back on campus and welcoming in our newcomers as well," said head coach Korrinn Burgess. "Everyone has been working extremely hard, and I'm very proud of what we've accomplished as a team through the first week of practice."
Eight players return from last year’s 10-17 squad, which went 7-9 in Big South play. Among the eight returners are six returning starters, including sophomore Erin Cooke, who was selected to the Big South’s All-Freshman Team in 2018. PC also welcomed six newcomers into the fold, including four freshmen and a pair of transfers.
The Blue Hose begin their 2019 campaign with a trip to Wake Forest on Aug. 30. PC’s home opener is set for Oct. 4 against Charleston Southern.
