Clinton, S.C. – The Presbyterian College volleyball team battled for a five-set victory on Senior Day on Saturday night over Winthrop. The Blue Hose defeated the Eagles 25-15, 17-25, 19-25, 29-27, and 15-10.

Freshman Erin Cooke recorded her fourth triple-double of the season with a team-high 15 kills, 24 assists, and 11 digs. Senior Jaclyn Brewington (team-leading 33 assists, 10 digs), junior Erin Eulitz (10 kills, 12 assists), and freshman Lauren Talbert (11 kills, 12 digs) all picked up double-doubles. Sophomore Allie Wright and freshman Trinity Williams collected 13 kills apiece. Sophomore Sydney De Jong added eight kills and led PC with five blocks. Sophomore Taylor Farmer paced the Blue Hose with 33 digs on the night, which is tied for 7th highest in a single-match in PC's Division I era.

The Blue Hose came out on fire on Saturday night, dominating the action in the first set. Cooke recorded five of her 15 kills and eight of her 11 digs in the opening stanza. She had a perfect 1.000 hitting percentage, leading the team to a match-high .378 hitting percentage in the set. Williams picked up three kills in the early going.

Cooke and Williams led the way once again in the fourth set for the Blue Hose. It was a back and forth battle that saw PC rally after Winthrop held a lead late in the set. The Eagles and the Blue Hose would go back and forth and move into extra volleyball. Cooke led the way with five kills and eight assists and Williams added four kills. The freshmen had a combined .500 hitting percentage in the set.

Eulitz took charge in the fifth and final set for PC. Her four kills paced the Blue Hose. Talbert picked up three kills with a 1.000 hitting percentage in the final stanza. Brewington tallied a team-high six assists in the set.

The Blue Hose will be on the road for their final pair of regular season matches of 2018. They will visit Campbell on Friday November 9 in a match that will be featured as a presentation of the Big South Network on ESPN+. PC will head to Hampton on Saturday November 10 for their final regular season match and it also will be featured on ESPN+.
