Buies Creek, N.C. – The Presbyterian College volleyball team was defeated by Campbell on Friday night. The Blue Hose fell to the Camels 25-22, 25-18, and 25-21.


Junior Erin Eulitz and freshman Lauren Talbert each collected a team-high six kills. Senior Jaclyn Brewington tallied 15 assists to lead PC. Sophomore Taylor Farmer paced the Blue Hose with 17 digs. Sophomore Sydney De Jong collected five total blocks in the match. Sophomore Allie Wright and freshman Trinity Williams chipped in with five kills apiece. Freshman Erin Cooke had 12 digs and nine assists.


The Blue Hose found themselves down 14-10 in the first set, but were able to even things up when Cooke collected four service aces in a row. The set was also tied at 16 and 17, but the Camels used a 3-0 run to build enough cushion to take the first set. PC brought the set within one point three times.


The Blue Hose fought out of an early five-point deficit in the third set to tie it up at 14. Things would go back and forth between PC and Campbell until they were even at 19. Campbell would score three straight points to build their lead. The Blue Hose would take the next two, but the Camels finished the set and match by winning the last three points.


The Blue Hose will conclude their 2018 regular season on the road against Hampton on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. That match will be streamed live on ESPN+ as a presentation of the Big South Network.
