Clinton, S.C. – The Presbyterian College volleyball team will host Wofford on Tuesday, September 11 at 7 p.m. for their home opener of the 2018 season.


The Blue Hose began their season with eight straight matches on the road, playing in three tournaments. PC took part in the Charlotte Invitational in Charlotte, N.C., Kennesaw State Tournament in Kennesaw, Ga., and the Amy Svoboda Memorial Classic in Colorado Springs, Colo., hosted by Air Force. This match will begin a five-match home stand for the Blue Hose.


Freshman Erin Cooke leads the team in kills over the first eight matches of the season with 71 kills and has also added 59 assists and 39 blocks. Sophomore Sierra Jones paces the Blue Hose with 143 assists and also has 46 digs. Sophomore Sydney De Jong, who has tied a pair of Division I program records already this season, holds a team-high 35 total blocks and has picked up 59 kills. Redshirt junior Daley Gosnell leads PC with 147 digs and also has tallied 28 assists. Sophomore Allie Wright and junior Erin Eulitz have chipped in with 49 and 48 kills, respectively.


Wofford is 5-5 in 2018, also having taken part in three tournaments. Last weekend, the Terriers played in the UCF Challenge, defeating FIU in five sets but losing to UIC and host UCF in three. Last season, Wofford finished 22-11 and fell to ETSU in the Southern Conference championship to end their season.
