Clinton, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women’s tennis team will host their first home match of the 2019 season on Saturday when they take on Lee. The Blue Hose will then travel to Tennessee to take on the Volunteers on Sunday afternoon.
PC is coming off of a two-win trip to Texas last weekend, where the Blue Hose defeated Texas State in a 4-3 shootout and overcame inclement weather to beat Incarnate Word 4-1 in a rain-shortened match.
Beth Taylor was named Big South Player of the Week for her efforts in the pair of matches. She was a perfect 4-0 on the weekend trip to the Lone Star State and clinched victory for the Blue Hose against Texas State by winning her final four sets.
Lee will begin their 2019 season on Friday when they face off with North Greenville. The match with the Blue Hose will be their second of the season and in as many days.
Tennessee is 3-1 to begin the year with wins over Florida State and North Alabama. Their lone loss came against LSU. The Volunteers will take on Old Dominion prior to the match against PC on Sunday.
