CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women’s tennis team fell to Liberty, 6-1, in Big South action on Sunday afternoon at the Templeton Tennis Courts. The Blue Hose fall to 7-8 overall and 1-4 in the Big South, while the Flames improved to 13-8 overall and 5-0 in league play.

The Flames took the early advantage with wins in all three doubles matches to clinch the point and go up 1-0. LU won the first two singles matches to finish to go up 3-0.

Tracy Johnson got PC on the board with a straight sets win at No. 2, 6-1, 6-2, for her second win in conference play. Liberty would take the final three matches en route to the victory. Samantha Calais took the opening set on court four, 6-2, but LU’s Polina Miroshnichenko rallied to take each of the final two by a score of 6-2.

PC will have the upcoming week off before returning to action on Wednesday, April 4. The Blue Hose will travel to UNC Asheville for a 2 p.m. match in the final road action of the season.
