CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women’s tennis team travels up I-26 on Wednesday to take on Wofford at 2 p.m. in Spartanburg, S.C. The two will meet on the tennis courts for the third straight season.
PC enters the match with a 3-2 record on the year, after a close 4-3 loss at Davidson on Saturday morning. Wofford comes in to Wednesday unbeaten at 5-0 this season, having beaten Savannah State, 7-0, in its most recent action.
The Blue Hose and Terriers met in Clinton last week with Wofford coming away with a 5-2 victory. Tracy Johnson recorded a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 1 in that contest, while Brittany Nuttall and Beth Taylor teamed up for a 6-0 victory at No. 3 doubles.
Taylor leads the Blue Hose in singles action so far this season, currently unbeaten at 5-0, including a 4-0 mark at No. 4. Caroline Ferrari has a 3-1 record at No. 5 in her final season with the program. Ferrari and Johnson are 3-2 at No. 1 as a doubles pair in the early going, while Nuttall and Taylor are currently 2-1 in doubles.
