ORLANDO, Fla. – The Presbyterian College women’s tennis team finished off its spring break trip with a 7-0 victory over Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras on Thursday morning in Orlando, Fla. PC improves to 9-3 with the victory.

The Blue Hose took the early lead by sweeping the doubles action. Tracy Johnson and Brittany Nuttall combined for a 8-2 win on court one and Celine Schepers and Beth Taylor teamed up for a 8-0 on court two. Mary Kathryn Dickson and Katie Thompson completed the sweep with an 8-3 victory to give PC a 1-0 lead.

In singles, PC captured all six matches for its fourth 7-0 victory of the year. Schepers took court one, 6-1, 6-0, and Johnson followed with a 6-1, 6-0 win on court two. Demi Henschel kept it going at court three with a 6-1, 6-3 win, while Taylor recorded a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 4. Nuttall completed the win at No. 5 with a 6-1, 6-0 score and Dickson finished it off with a 6-0, 6-1 win.

PC returns to action on Saturday, March 11 with the first of three straight home matches, hosting Wofford at 10 a.m. at the Templeton Tennis Courts.
