CHARLOTTE, N.C.  – Campbell junior Bastien Huon(Redene, France) has been named the Big South Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week, and Nicholas McKinney (Marietta, Ga.) from Presbyterian is the conference’s Freshman of the Week for matches played March 4-10, the league office announced Tuesday.

McKinney earned a team-high three victories last week. He won in straight sets in singles play against USC Upstate on Thursday, 6-3, 6-4, on the court four. McKinney then earned a victory in the No. 3 doubles match, 6-3. He also grabbed PC’s lone victory against Belmont in a three-set thriller, 6-3, 1-6, 7-5, at No. 3.

Huon went 3-0 last week to help Campbell finish with a 2-0 record. He won at the No. 2 court in both singles and doubles against Duquesne, with a 6-1 win in doubles and a 6-2, 7-6 win in singles. Huon then claimed victory at the No. 2 singles court over South Carolina State (7-5, 5-7, 6-2) to help the Camels win the match 4-3.
