Nashville, Tenn. – The Presbyterian College men’s tennis team dropped a 4-2 decision to Lipscomb on Monday afternoon. PC is now 10-8 for the 2018-19 season.

 

The Blue Hose took the doubles point against the Bisons to take an early 1-0 lead in the match. Alberto Conde and Nicholas McKinney took care of business on court two and earned a 6-2 win. The pairing of Oscar Alvarez and Max Benson needed to go to a tiebreaker on court one, but they came away victorious, 7-6, to clinch the point.

 

Alvarez also picked up a win in singles play for PC in singles action. The freshman defeated his opponent 6-1, 6-2 on court five. McKinney had split his first two sets and was in the middle of the third when the match ended.

The Blue Hose will return home to the Templeton Tennis Courts to host Campbell on Saturday afternoon. The match against the Fighting Camels is slated to begin at 2:00 p.m.
