Clinton, S.C. – The Presbyterian College men’s tennis team swept Hampton on Saturday evening to earn its first conference victory of 2019. The Blue Hose took the 7-0 victory after a lengthy delay due to rainy weather.

The Pirates found themselves short-handed for the match, having only five active players. PC earned forfeit victories at both the number three doubles (Alberto Conde and Nicholas McKinney) and number six singles (Elias Svensson).

The Blue Hose clinched the doubles point with a victory on Bobby McKee court. Oscar Alvarez and Daniel Stenger picked up the 6-2 win for PC.

Stenger, McKinney, and Alvarez each earned straight set wins in singles play, as did Max Benson. Conde needed three sets and a lengthy tiebreaker to earn his 6-2, 3-6, 7-6 victory on court number three.
