CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College men’s tennis team recorded its second Big South win in as many days with a 5-2 victory over Radford on Saturday afternoon at the Templeton Tennis Courts. PC improves to 3-2 in conference play, while the Highlanders remain winless at 0-6 in the Big South.

PC once again took the doubles point, winning on courts two and three to take the early lead. Daniel Stenger and Will Baird teamed up for a 6-2 win at No. 3 and Jaime Castillo-Lopez and Alejandro Bejar took court two, 6-3, to clinch the point. Alexander Lykou and Brandon Mills led 5-3 at No. 1 but the match went unfinished.

The Blue Hose wasted no time in clinching the match, taking each of the first three singles matches to finish to go up 4-0. Stenger improved to 5-0 in Big South play with a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 5. Bejar improved to 4-1 against league opponents with a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 3. Alberto Conde recorded his first collegiate singles victory, coming away with a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 6 to clinch the win.

The Highlanders got wins on courts one and four to make it 4-2. Mills then closed it out with his third Big South win, a 7-6, 7-6 decision on court two.

PC returns to action Friday with a doubleheader at the Templeton Tennis Courts. The Blue Hose will take on Liberty at noon and North Greenville at 6 p.m.
