CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College men’s tennis team will play three matches over three days this week, traveling to USC Upstate on Thursday at 2 p.m. before hosting a doubleheader against Appalachian State and Lee on Saturday at noon and 4 p.m., respectively, at the Templeton Tennis Courts.

The Blue Hose and Spartans will meet in Spartanburg, S.C. in a match that was originally scheduled to be in Clinton but was moved to accommodate the 2019 Big South schedule, as USC Upstate joins the league for next season. PC has won four straight over its upstate counterpart, including a 5-2 victory in Clinton a year ago.

PC and Appalachian State will meet for the seventh straight season with the two having split the last six meetings, 3-3. The Blue Hose will look for their first victory since 2015, a 5-2 win in Boone, N.C.

Five different PC players have recorded a singles win so far, while Alejandro Bejar and Luis Conde have gone 3-1 in doubles action as a pair to lead the team. Alexander Lykou managed a ranked win on Saturday, recording a 6-4, 7-5 victory over Davidson’s Artem Khrapko, who entered No. 120 in country.
