DELAND, Fla. – The Presbyterian College men’s tennis team fell to Stetson, 4-2, on Friday morning in the match resumed from Thursday afternoon. The Blue Hose drop to 6-8 on the year, while the Hatters improved 6-3.

PC opened the match with a 1-0 lead by taking the doubles point. Diego Manzanas and Jaime Castillo-Lopez claimed a 6-3 win on court three to get it started. Stetson evened it at 1-1 on court two but Ben Kelley and Joel Roberts prevailed on court one, 6-3, to clinch doubles for the Blue Hose.

The Hatters would take control in singles play, winning five of the six matches for the victory. Jaime Castillo-Lopez was the lone PC winner on the single side, earning a 6-4, 6-3 victory on court five. Kelley forced a third set on court four, taking set two, 6-4, but the match went unfinished.

The Blue Hose return to action in just under a week with a home match against South Carolina State on Thursday at 2 p.m.
