CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College men’s tennis team will take on Mercer in a doubleheader on Sunday afternoon in Macon, Ga. The Blue Hose enter the match with a 2-3 mark after two weeks of play, while the Bears enter the weekend at 2-2.

PC is coming off a loss to Clemson last Sunday afternoon in some indoor tennis action. The Blue Hose also fell to Appalachian State last weekend in a close match. Ben Kelley is currently off the best start for PC in singles, going 4-1 on the year with four straight wins to start the season before falling on Sunday. Joel Roberts and Brandon Mills have each totaled three wins on the singles side in the early going.

Kelley and Roberts have proven reliable as the No. 1 doubles combo, winning in each of their first three matches before falling in both matches last weekend. Jaime Castillo-Lopez and Diego Manzanas enter play on Sunday with a 3-2 record in doubles as well, including a 6-3 win at Appalachian State last Saturday.

It will be the first meeting between the two on the courts since 2010. Mercer came away with a 5-2 victory in Clinton, S.C.
