Kiawah Island, S.C. – Ben Pirro shot a collegiate-best 68 (-4) to start the East Bay Deli Classic at the Turtle Point Golf Course on Sunday. The Presbyterian College sophomore ended the day tied for second and led the Blue Hose to an eighth place showing with a combined score of 299 on the day.


Charlie Tate (t26) shot 74, Weston Sanders (t70) shot 78, AJ Nolin (t78) shot 79 and Cole Patterson (t93) shot 80 on the par-72 and 6,911-yard course.


College of Charleston leads the 21-field tournament after combining to shoot 285 on Sunday. Memphis’ Isaiah Jackson shot 66 (-6) to take the early lead for individual medalist honors.
