GREENVILLE, SC – The Presbyterian College men’s golf team finished 21st at the Furman Intercollegiate on Sunday with a team score of 905 (296, 301, 308). Hayden Ploeger led the way for PC, tying for 60th with a three-day score of 221 (72, 75, 74).
Cole Patterson was just a stroke back from Ploeger, at 222 (72, 74, 76), and tied for 66th. Rounding out the team, Carson Spears shot 228 (75, 74, 79), Harrison Fisher shot 236 (77, 78, 81), and James Scott shot 239 (80, 80, 79).
Clemson’s Carson Young shot 205 to earn medalist honors and lead the Tigers, who combined for a score of 835, to the team title. Furman hosted on their home course which was a par-72 and measured 7,004 yards.
The Blue Hose will return to action next weekend at the Wofford Invitational at the Spartanburg Country Club beginning on April 2. It will be their last tournament before the Big South Championships that will begin on April 20.
