DENVER – Former Presbyterian College men’s soccer standout Brandon Tucker recently signed a Major League Soccer contract with the Colorado Rapids organization.

The Rapids are one of 14 members of Major League Soccer, which is the highest level of professional soccer in the United States. The league has 13 teams in the United States and one team in Canada (Toronto FC).

Tucker made his first appearance in a Rapids uniform in a Colorado Rapids Reserve win over Chivas USA Reserves on May 25.

Tucker was subbed in for MLS mainstay Conor Casey in the 45^th-minute in the 2-1 Rapids Reserve victory.

Tucker showed that he belonged in the game as he had the contest’s final scoring opportunity. His shot from 17 yards just missed as it skipped over the crossbar in the 88th minute.

Tucker ended his career in a Blue Hose uniform as one of the most prolific scorers in program history.

A four-year starter for the Blue Hose, Tucker finished his career by tallying 24 career goals and 16 career assists to end his time at PC with 64 career points. The 64 career points place him in the top 10 in program history.

Tucker concluded his four years with the program by leading the squad in assists and total points in all four of his seasons.

His prowess on the pitch led to numerous awards as he was a three-time All-South Atlantic Conference selection and three-time NCAA Division II Appalachian Region first team member. He was also a three-time winner of the PC Offensive MVP award.

Tucker graduated from PC in December of 2007 with a Business Administration degree.
