Clinton, S.C. – The Presbyterian College Football team used a high powered offensive attack to pick up a 41-10 victory over Bluefield College on Saturday night inside Bailey Memorial Stadium. Saturday night’s win marked 500 for the program.

 

OPENING KICK

- John Walker led the offense with 199 passing yards and three touchdowns both set career-high marks for the redshirt senior.

- Redshirt junior Zola Davis had 108 yards on the ground for his first career 100 yard game as he also added a touchdown. Freshman Jarius Jeter added 72 yards to the ground attack for PC.

- Sophomore Keith Pearson had a career-high 101 receiving yards on six catches and a touchdown. Pearson also added a 29 yard passing touchdown to his stat line for his first career passing score.

- Pearson had PC’s first 100 yard receiving game since DaShawn Davis in 2016 against Florida Tech.

- Davis had a pair of touchdowns for his second career two score game. His last coming against Monmouth last season.

- On the defensive side of the ball, sophomore Colby Campbell and freshman Jarrett Nagy had team-high 10 tackles.

- Redshirt senior Robert Baker had the Blue Hose first pick six since 2014 when Ed Britt and Deonte Davis each picked one up against Western Carolina in a 19-14 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED

- Bluefield got on the board early with a 33-yard field goal midway thru the first quarter to take the early 3-0 lead.

- The Blue Hose got the offense going with their first touchdown to close out the first quarter as Zola Davis had a 6-yard score to give PC a 7-3 lead after one.

- The Rams answered quickly with a seven-yard touchdown pass of their own to take a 10-7 lead early in the second.

- Walker responded with a 46-yard touchdown pass of his own to Pearson to give the Blue Hose a 14-10 lead.

- Walker connected on two more touchdowns to Riley Hilton for five yards and Davis for 17 yards to give PC a 28-10 halftime lead.

- In the third quarter, the Blue Hose turned to Pearson to connect with Davis for a 29-yard score to extend the lead to 34-10.

- PC put the finishing touch on school win 500 with a Baker 34-yard interception return for a touchdown to give the Blue Hose a 41-10 victory.
