CLINTON, S.C. – Senior defensive end Khari Rosier has been named Big South Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against Monmouth, the league announced on Monday. He is the second PC player to take home a weekly award this year.

Rosier totaled five tackles in PC’s 17-13 win over the Hawks on Thursday night, including 2.5 tackles for loss and a 0.5 sack. The native of Lithonia, Ga. teamed up with Curtis Bey for a nine-yard sack on Monmouth’s opening drive. He also stopped Lavon Chaney at or behind the line of scrimmage three times on the Hawks’ final drive of the contest.

Rosier leads the team with 7.0 tackles for loss this season and is third on the squad in total tackles with 28. He also ranks fourth on PC’s career list for tackles for loss, totaling 23.0 in his time with the Blue Hose.

PC returns to action on Saturday at Charleston Southern for a 6 p.m. meeting with the Buccaneers.
