Since signing 21 student-athletes on National Signing Day on February 7, the Presbyterian College football team has added another 29 student-athletes to its 2018 signing class over the two last months, including 10 on April 26 to bring the total up to 51 for this coming season.
The addition of the 11 on Thursday pushes the class to 51 student-athletes. Five of the 11 come on the offensive side of the ball, giving PC 29 offensive signees. Six defensive players make it 20 on the other side of the ball, with the addition of two special teams players the last two signing dates adding up to the current signing class.
Among the earlier signees was quarterback Drew Johnson, a rising sophomore transfer from East Tennessee State. The Spartanburg, S.C., native played high school football at Christ School in Arden, N.C.
In-state prospects continue to feature prominently in the third signing period, as nine of the 11 come from the Palmetto State to give the Blue Hose 37 South Carolina signees in this class. Both the remaining players hail from Georgia. All 51 players to sign for 2018 are from one of those three states.
