Pawley’s Island, S.C. – Presbyterian College senior Maiken Bing Paulsen finished tied for fourth and three strokes off the lead at the Golfweek Program Championship on Sunday carding a round of 70 (-1) and leading the Blue Hose to a third place tie at 296.


Paulsen recorded five birdies at the Caledonia GC (par-71, 5904 yards) to shoot 70 and record her sixth career round under-par.


Freshman Julie Hillestad shot 75 (+4) in her collegiate debut to tie for 21st. Senior Ann Elizabeth Gore recovered after the third hole to shoot even-par over the remaining 15 holes and tie with Hillestad at 75. Riley Marchman shot -4 over the last nine holes to climb to a 27th place tie at 76 (+5). Serina Combs tied for 57th with a first round of 81.


Campbell’s Isabell Ekstrom shot an opening round of 67 to take the early lead for medalist honors. Old Dominion has a one-stroke lead for first at 282 over the Camels.
