Morganton, NC – Presbyterian College’s Maiken Bing Paulsen finished runner-up at the Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate with a school-record tying performance of 143 (72, 71). The junior now leads the program with eight career top-10 finishes. The Blue Hose finished 11th with a score of 621 (305, 316) at the Mimosa Hills CC (par-72, 6099 yards).
Paulsen recorded an eagle, seven birdies, and 22 pars to lead PC in the tournament. She tied the 36-hole school record set previously by Micah Dowling in 2012.
Serina Combs (t44) shot 156 (79, 77) and recorded a team-best 26 pars. Ann Elizabeth Gore (t47) shot 157 (75, 82), and Sydney Abruzzino (t85) shot 174 (88, 86) to round out the team scoring. Rylie Marchman (t69) shot 164 (82, 82) playing as an individual. Celia Mansour withdrew after an opening round of 79.
Elon’s Aurelia Hamm won individual medalist honors at 140 (-4). Troy won the team title with an aggregate of 595.
The Blue Hose will next play at the Big South Championship at The Patriot GC in Ninety Six, SC, beginning on April 13.
