KIAWAH ISLAND, SC – The Presbyterian College women’s golf team finished round one of the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Spring Classic in 34th place with a team score of 324 at the Oak Point Golf Course.
Senior Abby Driscoll shot 76 to tie for 66th and recorded a team-high 13 pars. Rylie Marchman recorded the team's first eagle of the tournament on the 477-yard 8th hole. She would go on to tie with Ann Elizabeth Gore for 141st with both recording rounds of 81. Rounding out the team, Alexandra Demko shot 86 and Maiken Bing Paulsen shot 87 to tie for 202nd and 211th respectively.
Jacksonville holds a three-stroke lead for first after combining to shoot 286. The Dolphins’ Louise Persson and St. John’s Saskia Sterud shot 68 (-4) to tie for the early lead for medalist honors.
The Blue Hose will tee off on hole No. 10 beginning at 10:48 am on Monday at the Osprey Point. Live results can be viewed via Golfstat at this link.
