KIAWAH ISLAND, SC – The Presbyterian College women’s golf team will compete at the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Spring Classic from February 26-28 at the Osprey Point and Oak Point Golf Courses of the Kiawah Island Golf Resort.

Dubbed the largest collegiate golf tournament in the country, the field has expanded to 43 teams this year. Both courses are par-72 with Oak Point measuring 5,941 yards and Osprey Point measuring 5,964 yards. After alternating courses on Sunday and Monday, the top-22 teams will play the final round at Osprey Point on Tuesday while teams 23-43 will finish at Oak Point.

The Blue Hose have finished as high as 22nd (965) in 2013 and with a low score of 951 (26th) in 2012. In the fall, junior Celia Mansour set school records for 18 holes (-3) and 54 holes (+5). Meanwhile, sophomore Maiken Bing Paulsen compiled 3 top-10 finishes. Mansour (75.56) and Paulsen (76.40) both rank in the Big South’s top-20 scoring averages. Head coach Kasay Holbrook saw the duo tie for 8th and her team finish 4th at the Big South’s “Preview at the Patriot” which ended the fall season.

Paulsen, Abby Driscoll, Ann Elizabeth Gore, Rylie Marchman and Alexandra Demko are expected to compete for the Blue Hose.
