NINETY SIX, SC – The Presbyterian College women’s golf team finished fourth with a score of 619 (317, 302) behind top-10 finishes by Maiken Bing Paulsen and Celia Mansour at the Big South’s “Preview at the Patriot” on Sunday.
Paulsen and Mansour tied for 8th with scores of 152 on the par-72 course at The Patriot Golf Course, host of the 2017 Big South Golf Championships. Paulsen had identical rounds of 76 while Mansour shot 81 and 71.
Abby Driscoll moved up into a tie for 13th at 154 (79, 75). Rylie Marchman (t23) shot a collegiate-best 162 (82, 80). Ann Elizabeth Gore shot 165 (81, 84), tying for 29th, while Alexandra Demko finished 28th with a score of 164 (82, 82) playing as an individual.
Gardner-Webb combined to shoot 599 (303, 296) and win the team title. The Bulldogs’ Taylor Dodson earned individual medalist honors with a score of 140 (-4).
Winthrop (601) claimed second and High Point (608) third. PC was fourth and finished ahead of UNCA (629) and Radford (654).
This was the last fall tournament for the Blue Hose.
