Montgomery, Ala. – The Presbyterian College Blue Hose (2-3-0) fell to the Alabama State Hornets (2-4-0) on Friday night by a score of 6-1 at ASU Soccer Stadium in Montgomery, Ala.
How it happened:
The Hornets took the lead in the 25th minute of the game and did not look back. Alabama State went up 4-0 by the intermission.
Peyton Patterson would score her second goal of her freshman season in the second half off an assist from Preston Robinette to cut the deficit to 5-1 in the second half.
- Patterson scored her second goal of the season, she now leads the team.
- Alyssa Leaman recorded five saves in the contest, she has five plus saves in four of the five contests.
- The Blue Hose dropped their third straight contest following a 2-0 start.
- This was the first loss against Alabama State as they had beaten the Hornets each of the first two times they played.
The Blue Hose host the USC Upstate Spartans on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
