Tempe, Ariz. – Arizona State jumped out to a 5-0 lead on Saturday afternoon in Tempe, Arizona en route to a 23-5 win over the Blue Hose.

Arizona State took 45 shots, 30 of which were on goal. The Blue Hose took 11, with 10 being on frame.
The Sun Devils scored five goals in the first five minutes of the contest before PC got on the board with a goal by Natalie Barnett. Cady Roberts was the next to score for PC making it a 6-2 game, this was her first of two goals on the afternoon. Lauren Schaaf made it a five goal game at 8-3 but Arizona State finished the half on a 7-0 run to go into the intermission up 15-3. Arizona State won the second half by an 8-2 margin en route to the 23-5 win.

The Blue Hose move to 1-4 on the season while Arizona State moves to 5-1.
Sophia Cuzzupe saw her first action of the season playing the final 30 minutes in goal.
Megan Dreyer tied her career high with four draw controls.
The Blue Hose travel even further west as they play the San Diego State Aztecs on Monday at 6:00 p.m. EST.
